Tsunami Warning

The warnings Are low.The Signs are sudden. The Tide goes into reverse.A
thunderous roar fills the air,and then it strikes.(pause)and when it is over
nothing is left.A "Tsunami" the word in Japanese means  harbor wave.Japan
has been hit by many tsunamis in its history as a result of its
location.itlies at the edges of four tectonic plates with more
Earthquakes.The
principal cause of Tsunami are formed when two tectonic plates pushed
together result in earthquakes,it sends an enormous burst of energy up to
the ocean, displacing enormous quantities of water.A series of waves expands
in all directions. In deep waters these waves travel Fast up to 500 miles an
hour but only reach a height of two feet.A passing ship might not even
notice. But as the waves enter shallow waters, friction with the ocean floor
lowers the waves speed and raises their height until they can engulf a ten
storied building (  pause ) Unlike ordinary waves a tsunami
wave doesn't crust break instead it advances  like wall of water that
crashes over a coast line and everything in its way reaching even as far as
a mile.More damage is when the wave retreats dragging everything back with
it underwater. And most tsunamis have multiple waves. In ten to  sixty minutes
just when survivors think they are safe.the deadliest tsunami ever recorded
occured in December in 2004.MAny people died and were homeless..The pacific
Tsunami warning centre is on call 24/7  to prevent a similar tragedy from
happening again. The advice for survival is simple just move to higher
grounds and see news until tsunami has passed and deal with the ruins it
left in its wake.*
